Chicken Shawarma
Ingredients
1 kg boneless/skinless chicken thighs
1 clove minced garlic
1 tbsp ground coriander
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp ground cardamon
1 tsp ground cayenne pepper
2 tsp smoked paprika
2 tsp salt
2 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp olive oil
Method
- Combine the marinade ingredients in a large ziplock bag (or bowl).
- Add the chicken and make sure each piece is coated. If using a ziplock bag, close the bag then massage to spread the marinade all over each chicken piece.
- Marinate overnight or up to 24 hours.
- Grill or BBQ the chicken, slice and serve with salad, sauce and bread of your choice.
